The illegal waste disposal site on Jalan Limo, RW 05 Grogol Selatan Urban Village, Kebayoran Lama, has been permanently closed. The site was complained by local residents due to its stink.

Munjirin Rasyid, Kebayoran Lama Sub-district Head, said the land usage is not for waste disposal site.

“Because of waste is piling up, then it was burned by local residents. This is not solving the problem but adding another problem. The air was polluted and disturbed the settlement,” he said, Friday (6/10).

Anticipating the trash piling, local waste will be transported by using carts and taken to Bata Putih Market.

“Satpol PP personnel will supervise the land to avoid people disposing waste again,” he added.
